NetCaptor is fantastic, especially if you have a slow Internet connection. It is a web browser very much like Internet Explorer, but with features I have seen nowhere else. First of all, it has tabs for each window you open. No big deal, you say, but check this out. On each tab is a box that changes color according to how far the window has loaded. When it is just beginning and there is nothing to see, the box is red. When things start appearing, the box turns yellow. Finally, it turns green. Once you have visited that window, the box goes away but the tab remains.
Why is this so great? Because when you do an Internet search, for example, you can right-click each link to "open in new window." You can cue up a whole bunch of pages to open, and you can see which ones have opened without clicking from window to window (like I used to do - very stressful on the eyes). That alone had me sold right away.
NetCaptor also remembers where you were, so if you close NetCaptor without closing the tabs first, NetCaptor will automatically bring up all the same pages next time you run it. This saves quite a bit of time.
Another nice feature is "Popup Captor." You can designate certain types of windows to shut down automatically, enabling you to screen out many of those annoying popup ads without ever having to look at them. There are other nice touches, too, like the ability to refresh or close all open windows with one click on the appropriate icon.
The only thing I had trouble finding was "History." I finally found it when I accidentally clicked on the "Show CaptorBar" button.
All in all, just like Internet Explorer, PLUS!
