This is one of those works in progress that may never get finished, so (at the risk of public embarrassment) I finally put it up in draft form, hoping it might be helpful. Check it out and let me know what you think!
In our latest review (which has admittedly become dated - but the software has only improved), we take another look at 12Ghosts Backup, a utility that includes the ability to back up designated files continuously and automatically every time you save new versions of the files. This makes it quick and painless to recover accidentally deleted sections or a corrupted file, for example, no matter what software you used to create it - simply pull up a previous backup copy.

I and several acquaintances have been using eTrust EZ Antivirus™ and its predecessor on our PC's for over three years with no problems. It has not presented any software conflict problems at all, which is impressive, considering all the stuff I run on my machine. I know of at least half a dozen occasions where it has saved me from a PC viral infection. |

NEO for Microsoft® Outlook® users: Suffering from a bloated Inbox? Check out this easy-to-use Outlook plug-in that organizes email messages and serves up incredibly fast searches. Personally, I have eliminated most of the time I used to spend organizing my multitude of emails into various Outlook folders, because NEO's built-in organization and keyword searches make most of that unnecessary. (The search capability that comes with Outlook is tediously slow, both for defining the search and for running it.) |
| WorldMerge, designed for creating personally-addressed bulk emails, works directly with email lists in Outlook and Eudora® and with data in Access and Excel files without requiring conversion of files. |
